After an eleven-year hiatus, John Binkele, a business development professional with over 30 years of experience in the Green Industry, returns to Ewing as the company’s Director of Business Education.
Over the past 18 years, Binkele has helped thousands of contractors successfully work on their businesses, and he plans to help many more with the reintroduction of his popular Business Development Workshop series.

More About the Instructor
Binkele began his career in 1975 when he co-founded Rainforest Construction—a San Diego, Calif. based contracting company specializing in the installation of spas, hot tubs, decks, patios and landscapes. For the first five years of its existence, Rainforest was the top in its industry.
The economic downturn of the early 80s unfortunately took its toll on Rainforest, and the company went out of business. After folding Rainforest’s tent, Binkele realized that although he was a technically proficient contractor, he lacked the necessary business acumen to see the company through tough economic times. After taking a beating at the “University of Hard Knocks”, Binkele enrolled at the University of California, San Diego, to study business and marketing.
After spending over 30 years in the distribution and manufacturing sectors of the Green Industry, Binkele has returned to Ewing’s Education Services Team to offer educational programs designed to help contractors become more proficient with the ‘business side’ of business.
